A Spanish card deck (Baraja española) for Fournier, the oldest maker of playing cards in Spain. The traditional suits are adapted to fit the culinary theme: Clubs or “bastos” are now legs of ham, gold coins or “oros” are oranges, Swords or “espadas” are fish and cups or “copas” are glasses of wine. Important personalities like Ferrán Adriá, Abu Al-Hasan Ali ibn Nafi alias “Ziryab”, la Marquesa de Parabere, Simone Ortega, Arzak or Pedro Chiquote also make an appearance as kings or knaves.
